The Chilean metal scene once again proves that unity can also be one of its greatest strengths. Sikario and Diametral have just released a live version of “Rise and Fall,” the classic song by Criminal, recorded at MiBar during the release concert for Re-Elegant and Merciless Revenge, an album that was a finalist in the Best Metal Album category at the Premios Pulsar. With this performance, both bands not only capture the intensity and energy of that memorable show, but also pay tribute to one of the most important, influential, and groundbreaking bands in the history of Chilean metal, reaffirming the enduring legacy that continues to inspire new generations of musicians.
This version of the opening track from Criminal’s Sicario album features Alberto Arenas and Alejandro González on guitars and Tomás García on drums from Sikario, while Osvaldo López and Claudio Cárcamo of Diametral take on vocals and bass, respectively. They are joined by Matías Romo, the “Metal Vet,” a familiar presence in the mosh pits at Santiago’s various metal events.
The live audio recording was handled by Gerardo “Zapallo” Pinto. The video was recorded by Leo Pozo of DMF Producciones, while the mixing and mastering were handled by Richard Iturra.
This release also highlights something rather uncommon within a scene that has historically been marked by rivalries and egos: the genuine friendship between Sikario and Diametral. Beyond simply sharing bills or stages, both bands have built a relationship based on respect, collaboration, and mutual support—a true sense of brotherhood.
That connection is evident in every joint performance. The chemistry on stage, the closeness between their members, and the energy they share with the audience turn every show into a celebration of Chilean metal. At a time when collaborations are still relatively rare, Sikario and Diametral demonstrate that camaraderie can become one of the scene’s greatest strengths.

La escena del metal chileno vuelve a demostrar que la unión también puede ser una de sus mayores fortalezas. Sikario y Diametral acaban de publicar una versión en vivo de "Rise and Fall", clásico de Criminal, registrada en MiBar durante el concierto de lanzamiento de Re-Elegant and Merciless Revenge, álbum que fue finalista en la categoría Mejor Disco Metal de los Premios Pulsar. Con esta interpretación, ambas bandas no solo inmortalizan la intensidad y la energía de aquella presentación, sino que además rinden tributo a una de las agrupaciones más importantes, influyentes y trascendentales en la historia del metal chileno, reafirmando la vigencia de un legado que continúa inspirando a nuevas generaciones de músicos.
Esta versión del tema que abre el disco Sicario de Criminal contó, por parte de Sikario, con la participación de Alberto Arenas y Alejandro González en guitarras y Tomás García en batería, mientras que Osvaldo López y Claudio Cárcamo, de Diametral, se encargaron de la voz y el bajo, respectivamente. A ellos se suma Matías Romo, el “Veterinario Metalero”, quien es un personaje habitual en los mosh de los distintos eventos metaleros de Santiago.
La grabación del audio en vivo estuvo a cargo de Gerardo “Zapallo” Pinto. La grabación de video fue realizada por Leo Pozo, de DMF Producciones, mientras que la mezcla y masterización estuvieron a cargo de Richard Iturra.
Este lanzamiento también deja en evidencia un aspecto poco habitual dentro de una escena que históricamente ha estado marcada por rivalidades y egos: la genuina amistad entre Sikario y Diametral. Más allá de compartir cartel o escenario, ambas agrupaciones han construido una relación basada en el respeto, la colaboración y el apoyo mutuo, una hermandad.
Esa complicidad se percibe en cada presentación conjunta. La química sobre el escenario, la cercanía entre sus integrantes y la energía que transmiten al público convierten cada show en una celebración del metal chileno. En una época donde las colaboraciones aún son escasas, Sikario y Diametral demuestran que el compañerismo puede convertirse en una de las mayores fortalezas de la escena.
